Name That Plant!

Last night we had to turn in our final “fix it” list to the builder so we both broke out our cameras for a little show and tell time. I need help identifying most of the plants. Lucky for me there are only a couple of evergreens and Sean has graciously agreed to tend to those so I don’t break out in hives. So in no particular order… name that plant!!

Plant 1

Plant 2

Plant 3

Plant 4

Plant 5

Plant 6 – I think this is a Japanese Maple of some sort… but it is getting in sad shape fast… so tips on care would greatly be appreciated!!

And my garden will be back here somewhere near the second favorite feature of the house is…..

Mmmhmmmm We will be sitting out here a lot!!!

    LOL Love it Kay!!!!!!

Okay, here goes what I’m thinking.
#1, does it have woody stems? IF so possibly a type of azalea.
#2, Rudbeckia (i.e. black eyed susan)
    #3, is definitely a Crepe-Myrtle
#4, looks like a type of lily, there are so many varieties though that pics of the actual flower will tell which one.
    #5, I haven’t a clue!!!
#6, looks like a Red Japanese Maple, water deep 2x a week, morning sun, afternoon shade is best. Don’t use a salt based fertilizer and don’t fertilize when it’s stressed.

I’m with Kay!! None of those grow up here, so I’m clueless!!!

Ack the ONLY one I knew was the black eyed Susan!!!

I’m pretty sure the 1st one is Escalonia– it’ll bloom– little flowers. Very hardy. No idea on the others. Heck, I know ZIP about plants– mine have a 50% mortality rate. Love your new place. Nurseries always know what plants are what– take them a leaf.
