New Bike

Last week there were several discussions around here over the fact that the princess still has not mastered bike riding 101.  She had out grown her last bike, so this morning off to wally world.  Oh look!  A spiffy 20 inch new frame.

I think she made it up and down the street once?

Before we discovered technical difficulty with the training wheels…..

That’s right…. they literally bent….. niiiicceeeee……  yeah.  We’ll be looking for higher quality training wheels and trying that again!

I think the bent wheel is kinda…..well, let’s say I don’t care for symetrical , but I guess it’s handy for training wheels!! Go Princess!!

looks like princess is ready for a bike with out training wheels.
I bet she can do it.
    She sure is growing!

I hope she can do that very quickly, but she is clearly not ready yet….. that was a heart stopping moment when that wheel failed. This bike is quite a bit bigger than her last one so she’s a tad intimidated, but it fits her very well and she should get a couple years out of it I hope. She’s going to be taller than me soon!!!

Whew! Just catching up on my blog reading. Have been on the road for most of the past 10 days. (I’ve decided PNW winters aren’t that bad after all!)

I had to laugh about the training wheels. I have video of DS riding his first bike and watching one of the training wheels suddenly roll away on its own. Needless to say, the camera also caught the slow-mo tumble he took on the patio. He survived but has always asked me to check Dad’s work ever since! LOL.

Glad to hear your Princess didn’t have to suffer a fall as a result of the bent wheel. Also, good to see you blogging again!

Ouch!!!! Luckily my friend caught her. I was also able to find heavy duty training wheels yesterday at a local bike shop. One piece heavy steel. So we will try it again next week. We’ll get the wheels on there while she’s gone this weekend.

Glad you made it home safe and sound!! I would not like the winters and travels you have encountered!!!
