Feed Bag Fun

I saw someone at food co-op pick up with this fabulous recycling idea so we tried it.


Cut the bottom off, wash the bag and follow along any purse or tote bag tutorial that shows how to flat bottom that. Hem and attach some webbing for handles. Less than $2 and half an hour of time. We will be looking at the feed bags in a whole new way next bag.

Bug Control

One of the reasons the princess was able to convince me we needed chickens is bug control. They seriously eat a lot of bugs. So earlier this week I noticed these unidentified bugs on the rock by the


Nothing growing in there but weeds. I built a retaining wall and removed half this bed and rock over Easter. Didn’t take much to convince me this rock was going.


Two buckets of rock gone and the girls went crazy. Ate for quite a while and cooped themselves for a nap. Good chickens!
